01 · Why now SITREP

Preparedness went mainstream. Preparation didn't.

Most households now agree they should be ready for a few days on their own, and most still aren't. Not because people don't care, but because the advice is scattered, the gear aisles are overwhelming, and the loudest voices in "prep" are selling fear by the pallet.

Bunkerise closes the gap between agreeing and being ready. One clear standard (72 hours of self-sufficiency), one honest plan to reach it, and kits assembled to a published spec sheet when you'd rather not hunt down 40 items yourself.

It's the difference between a smoke alarm you own and a smoke alarm with a battery in it.

61%of adults now keep some form of emergency kit, up from 43% in 2019. The mindset shift already happened.AMERICAN RED CROSS SURVEY, 2024

02 · The system PLAN → KIT → RESTOCK

Three layers. Zero doomsday.

Readiness isn't a shopping cart; it's a small system. Each layer works alone; together they make being ready the default state of your household.

Layer 1 · Plan

Know what you'd do

Field-manual guides for the hazards that actually apply to you, written to be read in an evening and acted on in a weekend. Meeting points, water math, shutoffs, the works.

Layer 2 · Kit

Have what you'd need

Curated 72-hour kits packed to a published spec: apartment, family and vehicle editions. Every item chosen for a reason, nothing you'll never use.

Layer 3 · Restock

Keep it that way

Kits quietly expire: food, water treatment, batteries, meds. The Restock Club replaces them on schedule so "ready" stays true without you thinking about it. Coming after the first kit run.

03 · Field guides PDF · INSTANT

Manuals worth printing.

Each guide covers one hazard properly: what actually happens, what to do before, during and after, and the drills that turn a document into a reflex. Download instantly, keep forever.

05 · Straight answers FAQ

The questions everyone asks first.

Is this a prepper thing?
No. It's a smoke-alarm thing. Emergency agencies in Canada and the US ask every household to be able to look after itself for about 72 hours after a major event. Bunkerise exists to make hitting that standard easy and even a little satisfying, not to sell you a decade of freeze-dried lasagna.
Why not just buy a cheap kit off a marketplace?
You can, and it's better than nothing. But most bargain kits are built to a price, not a purpose: novelty tools, one granola bar, a foil blanket, and no plan. A kit without a plan is a box; the plan is what your household actually uses at 3 a.m. That's why every Bunkerise product starts with the plan.
I rent a small apartment. Does this still apply?
Especially. Renters and apartment-dwellers are the most under-prepared group, and the ones most affected by elevator, water and power interruptions. The Apartment One kit and the 72-Hour Household Plan are designed for exactly this: compact, closet-friendly, and landlord-proof.
